I Ride For: Brenda

A couple weeks ago I took my folding bike out west and got the chance to do some real climbing. It was the first time in 18+ months. It was tough. It was quite warm. I loved it.

Along with my bike I brought along the flag for Brenda. I took lots of pictures with my bike, the flag, myself, and the scenery. This one was my favorite. I like the contrast between the meadow, the forest, and the mountains. So much different than my usual all green and mostly flat Michigan vistas.

Brenda, I do not know if you have ever been to southern Utah, but it is your kind of place. While hot and desolate, it is also teaming with life. Just the smallest amount of weather, produces a flower. That flower attracts bugs. These bugs attract birds and lizards. I would never want to go for a hike with you here, because we would never get anywhere. But you would have every bird and plant identified and logged in your app. Ha!

You are the first person to teach me directly about radiation fatigue. I hope this soon is in your past. I can tell you, the one or two times I did not feel like riding, I went out anyway so you could nap.

SHINE!
