I Ride for: Cathy
What a day! Weather has been on again off again up here in Elk Rapids, MI this week. Today, however, the sun came out strong and it got warm. I took off on my bike while most of the family was still sleeping. Did my favorite route - one I have not ridden in almost 2 years. It was great!
I took Cathy along for the ride. She is another Multiple Myeloma warrior. We met 5 or 6 months ago when she was diagnosed. A mutual friend told her she should call Jeff Mulder. Never had that happen before. I was honored.
Cathy, I do not know if I have been any help to you, but I think about you every day. All of us with Multiple Myeloma are fighting a completely unique battle. It is so genetically specific that, for the most part, we are all alone. On the other hand, each of us knowing that the other’s battle is unique is what binds us together. I just hope the learning curve is not as steep for you in the next 6 months as it has been for the past 6 months. While the flag is done, I will continue to think of you daily and bug you with an email every other week or so.
SHINE!
