I Ride For: Shawn

My first flag of the year and it is for someone who has a long row to hoe. Shawn is currently going through 18 weeks of chemo and immunotherapy BEFORE she has surgery. That is some tough stuff right there.

In the notes a friend of her daughter gave me, Shawn is everything I am not. She is a grandma. (See what I mean? Ha) For real: she loves to socialize, cares about and actually remembers what is important to others, and has a strong faith. (I don’t like to socialize at all, never remember birthdays, and a mustard seed may be a little big for my faith at times.)

This was an all trainer flag. I spent a lot of time staring at the weight set in my home gym. This last ride, however, was over looking the Atlantic Ocean with the wind blowing in my face. I hope a warm breeze can blow on Shawn’s face very soon.
