“You’re a vegan? What are you eating to stay healthy?”

A lot of concerned, well-meaning friends, family and coworkers have asked about my vegan diet. I get it! Back in B.C. (before cancer), I wasn’t really thinking about things like my daily protein intake, let alone protein from plants! But earlier this year, my researcher and coach, Jeri kicked it into high gear and we moved to a 99.5% vegan or plant-based diet. I promise I’m getting enough protein and all the other good stuff—and WAY less of the bad stuff. I’m feeling great, I’ve lost weight, my BMI is down, and I’m getting stronger.
