Lessons In Chemistry

This was a fantastic book. I picked it up a few years ago when I went to a book store for Jeri. I must admit, I chose it for the cover. I didn’t read it at the time, but Jeri moved through it pretty quickly.

Fast forward to November 2023. Apple TV made the book into a mini series. We watched all the episodes in 3-4 days (it might have been 2-3 😀)—it was really good!

So last month I picked up the book and read it. I thought it would be kind of boring since I had heard about it from Jeri and watched the TV series. Wrong! As I said, it was fantastic. I think I finished it in less than 10 days.

I do not quite know what I liked best: An understanding of the struggles of women back in the 60’s; a strong woman character that did not “settle”; the dog (Six Thirty) who protected the family; finding one’s passion and making the career fit; or a book about mostly introverts who found their voice.

I highly recommend. Go get a copy and start reading today! What are you waiting for?
