ZERO.

When it comes to Multiple Myeloma this is as close to “Ringing the Bell” as it gets. I got the results of my latest bone marrow biopsy and I am at MRD O. This means that out of 1,000,000 cells counted, they could find 0 cancer cells. So with today’s science and technology this is considered complete remission. Yeah!

So why then, you may wonder, do I have a weird shirt on and posting on a Monday? Because my fight never ends. We do not know where Multiple Myeloma starts or how it is completely eradicated. There is likely some microscopic particle floating around in my system just waiting to get a toe hold and take away my 0.

I got my results last week Wednesday. I took Thursday “off” both physically and mentally. Then on Friday I started working on my next bone marrow biopsy 6 months ago. I will continue biking, eating mostly plant based whole food, building muscle, and reducing body fat. Maybe during this next cycle I will get even better at meditation and visualizing my good cells attacking anything suspect.

So today I went to work in my “new” treatment shirt. I worked half the day and headed to treatment. Still going every other week for the indefinite future. But before I left I took this picture. One of my teammates had brought in the 0 balloon. I missed the presentation with my day off on Thursday, but it was still super cool to see. Ends up I can celebrate the win AND continue the fight at the same time.

PS When I picked up this new shirt at Goodwill, all I saw was pink and happy faces. Jeri noticed the mushrooms and the stoned look on some of the smiles. I will NOT be adding any mushrooms to my treatment, but I do plan to keep the shirt and wear it again.
