I Ride For: Christine

It is a beautiful day here in Michigan. I am sure you can tell from the picture. We have gotten 12-15 inches of snow in the last couple days but no wind. And it had been in the 20’s (F) and partly sunny all week. So everything looks clean and bright. I love this time of year and this exact weather.

The picture, as you have guessed, was not taken here. This was my first ride in 2025, it was down in Florida, and it was all for Christine. It was a great day and I like that kind of weather as well.

Christine has Multiple Myeloma, but has had a tougher time than me. This kind of cancer is so genetically specific that almost no two of us have the same symptoms, side effects, or treatment. When I called her a few months ago, it was to offer whatever knowledge I had that she could use. Ends up, almost nothing I had would help so I just stayed quiet and listened. That is the one thing we can all do, no matter what the issue—let others know we care.

Christine, while the flag is done and on its way to you, I am not finished. I will continue to randomly message to see how you are doing. I am especially interested in what woodworking or welding project you choose for 2025.
